Did this kid's dog get his vaccines???
Pat
I personally think it's a way to blow out dogs......doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to set up a test like this.

Hah, now that's funny!!!!! :p:p:p:p:p

That's what my dogs are all wearing and I've not found one tick on any of them. Can't say the same for myself. They really work very, very well--been using them for the past 5 yrs.

I can tell you how I do it John. If I know I'm going to be training AFTER the dog has eaten I give him a little less than half the normal portion w/water mixed in and wait at least 2 hrs. before I...
Tony:
Why did they scrap the land test?
Pat
Well said and right on the money. Running one dog in MH and getting a title without doing much training is NOT the norm. A lot of work goes into getting MH titles for most people and it ain't...
Absolutely, positively.....best collar for training!!!!

I've NEVER had to raise the level of my Dogtras when working water--water usually magnifies any level you're using. I will often drop the level a bit in the water depending on which dog I'm working....
I have 3 Dogtras, 2 of the #2000 model and a #2300. Never had a problem with any of them in the water...first I've heard that. Now if you're talking salt water or brackish water that could...
Best wishes for a speedy recovery for John and my sympathy to the nurses.....

These two, PL and FH are "wannabe" field trainers who are really bad for new people wanting to get into the game and learn as well as people with puppies and young dogs who are inexperienced. Dogs...
Man. you and your buddy PL are such talents at turning words around to your favor.......what a HUMONGUS waste of time reading your posts. The "ignore button" will be placed in the "ON" position.

Most folks that have trained or helped to train dogs can tell when a dog is getting any type of pressure from an ecollar--doesn't take a rocket scientist. Reading a dog's body language isn't all...
If it is mites it most probably is sarcoptic mange. Very easily transmitted from wild animals, foxes in particular. My dogs got it a couple of years ago from the foxes around here of which we have...
Could it possibly be that you need a new set of batteries? You can order them and put them in youself.

I own a dog who suffers from skin allergies. I have him on Zyrtec and Dinovite--been using the Dinovite for a few years now and it has definitely helped his skin and his coat. Coat is much thicker...
Definitely get him to the vet. Could be allergies, could be mange as in sarcoptic, could be any number of problems but he needs to be checked by a veterinarian.

Breck Campbell who sometimes posts here has a female who suffered an FCE and she did get the steroid treatment. She has a very slight limp in her hind leg (forget which side) but she's back running...
It depends on where the embolism occurred. My dog's occurred in his neck and shut everything down. He couldn't even bark. I took him to Penn where I was not at all happy with their response. ...
It's on the AKC website; go into the monthly reports and click on April. Scroll down a few pages and you'll see it there. Someone called my attention to it this morning. It's under Performance...
Not quite sure what they are trying to say here--I just read one of the recommendations from the RAC which states as follows:
"Proposal #1--Amend Recommendation #2 of the Standing...
Have only heard them gobble once a couple weeks ago. We are down on turkeys thanks to the foxes so I've deleted a few foxes and plan on deleting some more. Had one single hen coming in here for about...
E-collar is NOT a new term--it's been used for years. The e-collar is one of the best training tools out there BUT you as a handler need to learn how to use it properly. They are most definitely a...
Have someone in W. Chester, NY (Hawthorne area) that adopted a dog in Jan.; dog is not a full lab but seems to have hound mixed in as well. The dog is starting to show a lot of dominance so my...
