Check out c goeson's avatar......pretty good entry.
Sounds like Angie B know her stuff!! What she said!!
To any of you who may have lost a loved one this day 7 years ago, our hearts go out to you. May God be with you this day as you remember.
God Bless America
Yes, Pat is absolutely a class act. I worked for a couple of other trainers and learned some things, but I learned more about retrievers in the year I spent with them than from anyone else or any...
I think a GN trailer is the way to go if you are a pro. If you are an AM, then either a small trailer or dog box with good storage. I believe a topper would just frustrate you. JMO....hope this helps.
So I have been told.... Would have loved to ask him myself except for 2 things.
1) Didn't where he was or if he was even training.
2) Even though question 1 has been answered, he...
errr, ok.....meaning I should ask him myself? not sure what this meant?
Thanks for the info. I always thought Pat was a great guy and I learned A LOT of good dog stuff in the short time I was with them. I am glad to hear he's back doing his thing.
hmph......that's a bummer to hear. Pat going to go out on his own again or does anyone know?
Anyone know what happened with Pat Burns and Marry Lake? I worked with them a few years ago and heard they quit and that Pat is back now. What might the true story be as to where they are and what...
I don't know much, but ears pinned, rearing, sclera on the eyes, and biting.....I was always taught and still have the instinct that these are NOT playful gestures....but as another member said, they...
This was going to be my response. I wouldn't hunt with any clown that insists on being ignorant and ruining it for other people for the sake of being diplomatic. I wouldn't hunt with him just b/c he...
errr, those two aren't "playing"....they are asserting p order and it can get much worse. I would separate them if I were you. Usually the degree of injury escalates.
A Reiner and a Cutter...........no longer have them, but they were good horses.
pretty ridiculous generalization...........you've missed the point.
thanks you guys for all of your input. I will look into some of these. I know a few of them (Mark, Danny) because I used to train professionally as an assistant trainer, but due to some happenings,...
oh you ARE funny.....I forgot that.:D:D
yeah, I know Danny, but he is a little far. I also know Mark. I have to see how close he is to me. Thanks for the input.
who, out of those listed, would predominantly do FT dogs? thanks for the info.....
I have had the priviledge of training a few pretty nice goldens........3 of them were QAA at 3 years old. People just forget that they aren't a lab and usually, USUALLY have to be trained a little...
huh...........?
Anyone know who is in the Texas area that is a GOOD trainer? just curious.......
What most of these guys said is true. FF'ing doesn't necessarily make him retrieve, but to do it in any condition, without reservation. But more importantly, it teaches your dog how to handle...
It's the other way around....I went from dogs to horses....Reining Horses to be exact, though the avatar is the occasional Cutting that may come along....thanks though. Glad to be here.
