Default Condolences Bill and Terri Booker FC AFC RSK's Oohs And Aahs May 2006 - August 2013

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this.

Ozzie left us all in his prime, having just won an Amateur at LCRC 6 days ago. He lost his battle with a sudden illness 2 days ago. Blasto was the culprit. Ozzie was a home-bred yellow dog, out of Bill and Terri's own sire and dam. My deepest condolences to Bill and Terri Booker, Alan and Gwen Pleasant, and all of the other folks whose lives Ozzie enriched.

Ozzie took Bill and Terri on some wonderful rides to Nationals, many All Age successes and some wonderful consistency with Amateur wins in his final year.

Ozzie was a strong boy and departed us doing what he loved.

sincerest empathy to the Bookers, who are local personal friends of myself and my family. I hate that this has happened for them. (We actually first met at the closing on our home 11 years ago. Terri was the selling agent and we talked retrievers - Ozzie's sire specifically, while we did the deal!)

I was so sad to hear this. Ozzie was one of my favorites and Bill is one of the nicest guys in the game.

Ozzie and Bill were a great team. Our time with these wonderful dogs is so short, I think these two made the best of their time together. Memories of the good times will always be there for you.

Very, very sad. I don't know Bill & Terri, but my heart goes out to them. I watched Ozzie run @ LCRC & it seems surreal and so unfair that it was his last trial. It takes a special dog with a big heart to be deemed the best dog that day at any trial and he must have been all of that.

    Deepest Sympathy-

Condolences to the Bookers sent. I got to watch Ozzy run in MD in March where he won the Am. The series that I watched him run in the Open was a GREAT run.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

You really gotta be careful about how high a pedestal you put your method, your accomplishments, your dog on. There's usually someone who's done more, somewhere. And they may have used a different method than you did! Chris Atkinson 2013
