    Default FC-AFC "Saber" update

I received an email from one of my favorite owner/trainer/handlers this weekend, and am anxious to share. Chris Hatch has done a fantastic job with Saber. He's been cleaning house! Below is a note he sent me on the 30th.

"Visited your website and thought an update in order. 2013 Saber (FC-AFC Teal Creek Patton's Saber) had another double header win and 6 other wins for a total of 8 ALL Age wins and 48.5 points this tear so far. He has qualified for 9 Nationals. Feel free to use this on your site. I appreciate the help you gave me via a phone consultation. Best, Chris "

Hats off to a great team!

Proud enough to post it on about 30 dog training sites yesterday. I've watched Chris and saber run, very nice dog and team

Thanks Peter. I think this is a significant story for several reasons. I can't count the times people have asked if an amateur can compete at the highest levels successfully on their own. More are doing it now than ever, and Chris & Saber are evidence, as are you and your fine dogs! It's inspiring!

We bred to Saber in 2008. Five of the litter made the 2010 Derby list. Of those 5, two have their AFC titles. Three others need either an Amateur win or have their Am win and need just a few points for their AFC. One went into hunt tests and is an MH. Another went into hunt tests just this year and now has 5 Master legs. We were very pleased with our Saber litter. He produces talented dogs who are team players and "Amateur friendly". They are also good looking dogs.

Saber came within one handled bird of winning the National a few tears ago,and Chris Hatch is as solid a trainer/handler as they come...

Chris Hatch is the real deal and very genuine. Chris and Saber make a fantastic team and I wish them the best of luck in upcoming nationals. They deserve it. He is one of the nicest men in the FT circuit.
