Default St. Paul, Minnesota Veterinary and Boarding Kennels

    Greetings,

I recently relocated to St. Paul, MN from NC and am looking for recommendations for a good veterinarian in the area and recommendations for a good boarding kennel where my dog can stay when I have to travel. I appreciate any thoughts you can share.

    Thanks,
    John

St.Paul is huge, what side? For OFA a lot of us use Stillwater. Stillwater and Inver Grove Heights have good repo and orthopedics too.

    Welcome to MN!
Keep in mind I work for a veterinary specialist so I'm only going by what clients tell me.
Como Park Veterinary Hospital and Life Care Animal Hospital I always hear very good things about. Caring, competent. Como is known to be a little pricey just to let ya know, they just recently added ER which is great. Life Care is not in most ideal neighborhood, east side St Paul, but hey I live there and it's safe as far as I'm concerned.
Boarding, I just don't know sorry. I never hear about that aspect. My dogs always go to friends when I gotta leave them.
You may find people in MN are happy to take them in for you!

If you need some recommendations for suburb Vets let me know. There are a lot out there that are great.

Dr Fran Smith at Smith Veterinary Hospital in Burnsville. She's the current president of OFFA. Her specialty is canine reproduction. She's also a lab breeder and HT judge.

Inver Grove Animal Hospital is a top notch vet clinic. We board at Fly-n-Hi. With Sally Battista, in Inver Grove Heights.

For routine check ups, shots etc Stillwater veterinary clinic in Stillwater is very good. Dr. Rice and Dr. Smith. For serious emergencies go to the University of Minnesota.
