Default Looking for trainer for Chesapeake in Pa

Live in the philadelphia area. Looking for a pro trainer for 17month Chesapeake. No aggression. Great dog but a Chesapeake so looking for an obedience program. Been told, "you know, she is strong-willed, physically strong and these dogs are alot of work". We get that, she is a Chesapeake and we think she is a great dog, that's why we are looking for a trainer. It might be the area we live in but frustrated with locating a trainer that seems comfortable with the breed. Willing to travel to near by states. Thanks.

I have a friend who has had several of his Chesapeakes trained by Bob Tebbens of Turtle Creek Labs in DE and he is very happy with the training they have received. They do compete in hunt tests. http://www.turtlecreeklabs.com/

I highly recommend Jim Seibel at Crosscreekkennel.biz in Benton, Pa. He put a great foundation on my CBR, has trained countless others, and currently has a couple in his program now. He has been training dogs since the early 70's, is reasonably priced, and honest. You can reach him at (570) 441-9294.

I highly recommend Jim Seibel at Crosscreekkennel.biz in Benton, Pa. Well said Andy and Brian.
Jim has done an outstanding job with all my Chesapeake's.
Hard working, reasonably priced and honest. I'll be at Cross Creek Kennels all weekend if you want to stop by and say hello.
CamoDog posted the best contact number for Jim. Give him a call.

Not Pros but simply loan your dog to Bruce Mitchell & Scott Martin near Phoenixville for a year or so.
If the dog has any talent they'll get it out of her!
    .
On a serious note in the Philly area there are a number of serious amateurs who have been very successful with Chessie's in Field Trials.
    Bruce & Scott among them.
If you have time to go out and train yourself there is a lot of action within short drive of Philly and folks you could learn from if you wanted to.
"Darla" AFC Candlewoods Lil Smokin Tequila (2002-2013)(fondly remembered)
"Smoke" Smokin Auggies Menace, QAA (2003- )(retired nut case, ask Rando)
"Simba" Humewood Simba (1999-2014)(my 1st dog)

    .
Per favore, non mi rompere i coglioni.
    Grazie
