Rowdy (by Pirate) marks and blinds in space

I noticed a hole in my training program. Even though I have 150 acres for training grounds, it has lots of trees and other terrain features for the dogs to mark off on. So this week I am theming marks in space. Marks with lots of open area around and especially behind the mark.
The first mark shown in the video is only 125 yds but M2 was 165 and M3 and M4 were 185 yds each.

This blind is 250 yds and is run over the top of the previous mark. The bird is about 10 steps to the right of a cow feed stand. I gave Rowdy a treat and put out birds for blinds. The second blind is 225 yds in between gun stations. Note I did not have stickmen out.

In open space I am having a little difficulty with the initial line on the blinds.

Wayne, I always appreciate your videos. In this set up I didn't see you cue either of the marks with your hand - is there a reason for that?. I know you said you didn't place the stick men out - so maybe that had something to do with not cueing the marks.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't cue Rowdy with my hand before launching. I align him with my body and say "mark". Yes Rowdy is by FC AFC Land Ahoy.
I think pointing out the gun stations with your hand is for field trials only. I think it is prohibited in hunt tests.
Thanks for the comments.

I should have given credit to Dennis Voigt for bringing this to my attention in his discussion on derbies in his RetrieverOnline magazine.
