    She's 5 months. What to do ...if anything?

    seriously. I gave the same piece of advice to someone on this board recently. The dog was very young as yours is. It would not make noise on landmarks. The water slows them down and they just can't stand it so they bark. They need to develop a way to control their emotions and gain composure. That person is doing a lot of obedience, place board exercises and the like.

    Andy Attar had a dog that eventually became a young field champion. That dog did not see marks for the first year and a half of its life of any kind. We get into such a hurry to push them along that we cannot see the forest for the trees at times. The best piece of advice I can give you is don't get a hurry, and don't care what your buddies dog is doing. You can always have the secret weapon.
