Tons of teal were down a week or 2 before the season started. They shagged tail & the record low teal numbers for the state happened right before it opened. Here today & gone tomm.

I had the pleasure of hunting down in LA out in the marsh with a local guy who worked with me. He had access to a 'cabin' out on the marsh. It was the best waterfowl hunting experience I ever have had. Got my first Cinnamon Teal and caught and ate my first Red Fish. What a wonderful outdoors you have in your state...

It truly is a different experience and also a very difficult but great terrain that brings out the natural hunting abilities in retrievers after seeing a dog hunt in marsh it gives you a greater appreciation for their drive and hunting capabilities. Very hard to mimic or prepair for in an average training enviorment. Only down side is the Louisiana Gators this time of year unfortunatly they call the marsh their home.

8/24 in SweetLake this morning but King was a perfect gentleman. Note to self; check blind for Fire Ants before getting comfortable.
Louisiana has the most diverse enviroment of any state in America, it's what makes the people so Unique.
