Now that's funny stuff! Call the design engineer and he'll talk you through it. Yeah good luck with that....LOL
It all looks good on paper doesn't it?.... The field, not so much.

I was in highway design and then a Construction/Project Engineer. So I understand where you're coming from.
Now a Traffic Engineer and I analyze/study everything.

In my own research I think that I only saw one person use "fetch" with the teaching of "hold" and I think it was in Chris Akins Duck Dog Basics 1. I will try and check sometime this weekend. I of course haven't taught this to a lab yet... only a 30 lb terrier in anticipation of next years puppy so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

In my dogs case, both parents are AKC registered.. Was not a planned breeding...the sire is a black lab and dam is a Boykin. Of course she can't be registered.
My dog has the looks of a lab, solid black, no white, otter tall etc...... Not sure what features or traits she got from the Boykin, but she is on the small side, less than 40lbs.
I'll will have to take a pick of her and put on my avatar.
