All you Texans know,, the secrete is in the beans!

wont give away anyone's recipes: but the ingredients include Rotel tomatoes,Siracha sauce and liquid smoke...also helps to use some quality beef and pork..I like venison in my chili but its way too lean for many good recipes

I think my chili will be a bog suprize, but will really like to win the hot sauce competition, but doubt it.

I like the combination of ground venison and Italian pork sausage 50/50.

Funny Gooser. I posted a chili recipe on here once and all the Texas people reamed me because it had beans in it. "wasn't real" chili they said. I liked it anyhow.

Beans are filler for the most part.

For the OP, try a book called "Killer Chili". Has several different types, so there may be one you like.

I use cubed venison and brown off in pork fat and all of it goes in the pot. I use our canned sauces and for the heat end I make a powdered hot spice that will curl your toes back. I add one tbsp to a 12 quart pot and you better have enough crackers when you eat it.

I like the 2-alarm chili mix sold in your local store. Comes with every spice that you need. Really a great deer chili mix also! Don't forget the crackers and cheese! Also line the side of the crock pot with hotdogs!!!
