    Default Teaching hold with birds

None of the videos I've seen and the program I'm following mention teaching hold with birds. Do any of you do it or should I do it? When do you teach hold with birds? My pup is doing hold while going through her OB very well so I'm thinking that now would be a good time to use birds while doing the hold command/drill but I want to see if there is any pitfalls I might be walking into or if its a bad idea for some reason. Thanks.

I use birds at the end of FF, after my dogs have learned hold and fetch with a dowel and bumpers. I don't start FF until OB is completed.

Yes OB and CC are done. She's doing very well with hold,I thought "why don't we teach hold with birds before we move to FF"?

I wait till I'm done with ff to intro birds to avoid some of the bad attitude stuff around birds.

I would most defiantly force on birds at the end of FF. This will prevent you from having any trouble transitioning your training into birds from bumpers. It won’t take long and will help in the long run..
