I have a real question to ask of everyone. Do you think the federal government spends too much money and is becoming to big? If so, do you see this as a problem?

There is no doubt about it. But, the blame is with both the Dems and Repubs. Reagan grew the size of the Federal government more than any President. Bush's polices add up to nearly 14TRILLION of the 17Trillion debt. The Dems love over-spending on social programs and the Repubs love over-spending on corporate welfare. Our corrupt Tax Code is a result of both the Repubs and the Dems who kiss the behinds of Lobbyist to get their campaign contributions.

It's such a shame that in the USA, defending Liberty has become such a heroic deed.

Thanks for the answer Franco, I figured I wouldn't get many answers, it's hard to admit hypocrisy in ones beliefs.

I think the size and scope of our federal government is the main problem that we face as a nation. Democrats and big government Republicans are equally at fault.

I didn't think you would get many responses because you made a statement 99% of people on this board agree on, Republicans and big goverment Democrats alike.

Might be because most people are busy working their arses off at the moment?

So we all agree that government is too big, and it's a huge problem, maybe our biggest problem. And many of us support the platform of the party that is, without much dispute, in direct conflict of our conclusion. All while belittling and casting aside as fruitcakes the few people in government who are actually trying all they can to stop the fantastic explosion of government and government spending. How do some of you reconcile that?
