In order to save a lot of posts - please use the search function at the top right. This topic will lead to another more general one that is always a "Hot Button".

My understanding of Wild Rose is that it is a Positive Reinforcement training program. What you want your dog to do (results) and how you go about it (method)should determine how you train.

The Wildrose Way is not used by very many people here. A quick look at the banners of some of the supports will point you in the directions many use. A search of old threads will give you an idea of the type of discussion that may develop on your thread. Please don't let that discourage you. Some people can be very passionate about theirs dogs and training methods.

I think only using positive reinforcement training may limit your training tools. There are methods in dog training that may, may not seem logical at first.

Ultimately, you want ot have fun with your dog. Don't lose sight of that.

I thought the DVD well worthwhile, but wouldn't consider it a stand-alone training tool.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Just some advice to you. Try and keep an open mind and as said before use the search function. There are certain items that will push buttons.

Good luck to whatever program you choose and make it fun.

"The Wild Rose Way" sounds like a rather thorny subject.
