Default Rowdy (by Pirate) Another day at the office

This mornings cold setup. And it was chilly too. 37 degrees when I got to the training grounds. B1-110 yds, B2-160 yds, M1-85 yds and M2-120 yds. There was a north wind, which is blowing at my back. And Rowdy is running downwind.

Look at my right foot. Notice anything? Several weeks ago I stubbed a toe and later broke another
After last weeks hunt test it was swollen badly and red. So I went to the doctor. A sandal boot was the RX but I have a bag over it as it has open toes, etc.

    I ran B1 first

Then B2. I don't think I got Rowdy lined up very good. Plus I put the bumper in a bad spot. Right in front of the dead tree stump. Rowdy blew by it, which is not all bad.

Then a walkup on the double marks.

    I love this little dog.

    Nice work Wayne!

We are getting ready to run our first Senior/ HT this next weekend.. I havent trained at ALL for a walk up, until this past week.
I'm a bit concerned cause my routine is always to line dog up on go bird, but with the walk up situation, and the fact there is no attention call, you pretty much have to be walking straight at the FBD . Then like you did so well, step up on the dog for the go bird. what I dont like then ,,is the dog is lined wrong for the go bird.
Very nice work though by you two. Its been fun watching him come along.

Hey Hopalong, Is there any reason you ran the blinds first and then the marks through and/or around them? I almost always run the marks first or interupt the marks with a blind. Not 100% though. I feel the marks give suction to handle off of that way and I get a little tougher blind(s).

You really gotta be careful about how high a pedestal you put your method, your accomplishments, your dog on. There's usually someone who's done more, somewhere. And they may have used a different method than you did! Chris Atkinson 2013

I normally do as you do Howard. But I am preparing for any eventuality as I have run into this before.
    Just one blind though.
