Default Traveling to Houston, any can not miss restaurants GDG

I will be traveling to Houston for work and wanted to know if there were any restaurants that I need to be sure and check out. I will be staying on the Northwest side of the city.

Don't remember the name of it, but stay away from the Brazilian Grill type restaurant! My friend and I got food poisoning there about 10 years ago. That was bad enough, but it happened two nights before the Rolling Stones concert I was there for! I must say I was not up to top form to enjoy the old boys as I should have.

I am fond of Treasures, since it used to be right across the street from our offices, but D.B. Cooper's Mansion will probably be more convenient for you

Texas is pretty famous for barbeque and a couple of years ago my son came down to hunt and before he came he goggled the best BBQs in TX and traveled a bit to catch a couple I think one was just west of H on I-10 but don't recall for sure. Also there are some great Mexican restaurants around. Stay away from chains you can find them anywhere.

DO NOT miss Ma Goodsons in Tomball, TX. Its the best Chicken Fried Steak in Texas. Bet you can't eat it all. It will hang off your plate. Also do not miss any of the Pappas restaurants. They are all great.

Don't eat at the Brazillian Grill type restaurant because you got sick at one of them 10 years ago?
