    Default White House Wedding

    http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013...her-pete-souza
By Kristen Welker, White House Correspondent, NBC News

Official White House photographer Pete Souza married Patti Lease on Saturday in a small wedding hosted by President Barack Obama in the Rose Garden.

"The ceremony was performed by Chaplain [Stan] Fornea and they were joined by roughly 35 family members and friends," a White House official said. "We all wish them well."
How common is it for WH staff to have their wedding at the White House? Who paid for the WH staff (including Secret Service) that were needed for the event?

I rather imagine that it is paid for by the WH operating budget, that is approved by the House and most likely by the same entities who approve all WH expenditures. If they make you unhappy, please run for congress and change the status quo...your choice...or not. JD

I really don't have a problem with the president hosting a wedding at his residence.

nore do I, renter, squater, whatever "WE" put him in the house.
I know if I was in that house I would keep the feller roaming the halls with a camera happy.
    I sure would, yup!!

Ken, actually, my post was merely a joke, but I have to disagree that "we" put him there. I have no idea of knowing what button you pushed while in the voting booth but I can say without any doubt I didn't put him there!

Renter or not, it is his residence. If he wants to have some guests over that is his business.
