How common is it for WH staff to have their wedding at the White House? Who paid for the WH staff (including Secret Service) that were needed for the event?
Not sure how common it is. The staff and secret service are there any way.-Paul

The issue for me would be that there is a "personal" budget and a "public" budget ... it would be nice of the Obama's to offer their home to a friend for a wedding as long it comes from their personal funds. To set a precedent of using public funds would not be a good thing.

I would say that even a small crowd of 35 would require additional staffing that would not be there if nothing were happening that day.

Good post ! I wish that the politicians that we elect were more careful with our money.

"We" is a tricky word. I'll leave it to those interested to explore it. Google or other searches will define it differently....JD

If you live in this country and believe in free elections and are willing to abide by them, then it is "we" no matter how you voted.
