I've had a decade of good results from my (discontinued) Dogtra 1800's, but I don't think I'd like the Edge, so I'm thinking 3500 or another brand. Garmin, Cabela's, Einstein, ... I wish I could get real side-by-side comparisons and durability data... TT isn't out of the mix, but I'm wondering what their next generation will bring.

Meanwhile, I'm interested in anecdotes on all of them.

One more for Dogtra. I would vastly prefer that they were American made, but they're a good instrument. They lack the ergonomic advantages of TT, but all good things seem to come to an end, don't they?

I'm still using my 3500's. Never been a better collar.

I did a little research on this when you said this. Interesting to say the least.

are the Dogtra receivers interchangeable with different systems like the exp receivers are? Can recievers be married to any system like the TT can or not?

ecollar.com Greg was out, but visited with the guy that was there. He says "not a secret". For details, they'll visit with you. Assured me definitely an American company & "assembled" in Indiana. I first seen them at Pheasant Fest a few years ago.

I switched to Einstien for myself and clients a few months ago. Have half a dozen or so in the field and have had no malfunctions or complaints.

Couldn't they have come up with a better design for the transmitter?? Just looked at them for the first time and it really doesn't look very user friendly in the hand at all.. Snuff can??? Looks more like a Hockey puck to me...

I would be interested in hearing some reviews of the DT R.A.P.T collar. Seems pretty versatile, but I have searched on the forum and couldn't find anything....
