    Default English Tower Shoot

Some friends & I were able to take our retrievers and pick up on a tower shoot this weekend. The day was action packed, 220 birds released. Not going to lie, a lot of missed birds! Some of the gun station were well suited for novice dogs, some were consistently having birds fall deep into the woods down a very steep bluff.

Just wanted to share pics and welcome any conversation about this type of retrieving. One of my clients joined, he's worked hard to train his pup on his own - first ever dog. This was his first time on a live shoot of any kind, though he's had very sufficient training. He picked up 17 birds and did great.

Here is a quick clip of a typical retrieve from my station. Bird was a runner, cover in yen woods was thick so handling in there is out of the question.
