Default Have to say good-bye to an old friend

Today, I will have a say good-bye to a very good friend and family member, our old pomeranian. When we got her back in 1997 when she was 4 months old I though this day would never come. I once read exceptional Poms live to be 16, she is that now and that was a understatement. Best and longest lived dog I ever had. She has a had a good run.

We love you and will miss you Casey.

ETA: Just back from having her put down. Thanks for the well wishes. I dont think I can say anything else right now.

    Freezeland,
I just lost my Labrador gundog on 9/3/13 and I understand the grief you are experiencing with the loss of your Pom. they are certainly "family" and it is never easy. My sorrow for your loss.

So sorry. My cocker spaniel Patience, raised my labs and taught them to be good citizens. She lived to be 17. She was a good girl. When they live that long, you always expect them to be there.
