Even a deposit isn't a sure thing. I had deposits for 3 puppies when my Parson bitch was bred. When all was said and done all three who had sent a deposit backed out. I was able to sell the bitch so that party got their deposit back but I now have two males left. Until they are sold no deposit is being returned. That is how my contact reads and it was explained when the deposit was received.

I keep checking this thread, I don't know why--when I finally get some therapy, I'll have to ask.
But I'm kind of amazed it has generated three pages (to which I now add).
Does anyone REALLY want someone to follow through on purchasing (for any reason) unwanted puppies??? While it's unlucky and unfortunate and surely super-inconvenient you thought they were spoken for, there is far more fortune in their not being sold to a person or place they are unwanted.

You guys are two funny.
My take is that you better have your litter pre-sold or maybe you shouldn't be breeding in the first place. In the past I have looked to take 6 deposits and then keep a waiting list 8- 10 deep.

Raising pups is a tough job. Doing it right even tougher. We have raised 4 litters now. We might make about 5 bucks a hour doing it but seeing our pups make someone happy and watching our pups grow makes all worth it. We get all kind of calls and e mails . people saying they are coming that don't call or come. So whenever dealing with people we role with the bunches. Oh by the way we have pups for sale on lab pups classified on rtf. NC tri factored litter
