Thanks Bill. Her name is Grace and she is a great kid. She is in the gifted program at school, makes great grades, plays the piano (loves to perform recitals and plays in church from time to time), sings in the children's choir, loves to fish, play softball and I think she is learning to like deer hunting too. She thinks our lab is the greatest thing since sliced bread and she has tagged along on a few waterfowl hunts, a dove shoot and a bunch of canned pheasant shoots where he would be retrieving (she likes to handle him) all because of her love for that dog. He is 8 1/2 now and I just hope she gets big enough to handle a shotgun so she can shoot a duck or goose for him to retrieve before he gets too old. If she is able to shoot a bird for Boomer to retrieve that would probably be the only way to top what she did yesterday.

    I can't quit grinning.
Tell her we are going to call her Amazing Grace! What a neat young lady!

Two years ago, my granddaughter (then 8) got her first doe on Christmas Eve. I was sitting right next to her in the blind and was so proud I was about to pop the buttons on my shirt! She will be visiting from CO for Christmas again this year and I hope to be able to get her a shot at a buck. She has already picked out the spot on my wall where it should hang!

Good stuff man. I hope your granddaughter shoots a sho-nuff biggun!

This deer was killed on my Dad's farm and I know someday it is going to be a subdivision or something. I've killed a ton of deer, ducks and geese there, taught my kids to fish there and trained 2 pretty nice hunting dogs there so it is a special place to me so I'm really glad she got to kill her first deer there.

That's as good as it gets. Making those kind of memories on a special place like that. Both of you will remember it for the rest of your lives. Awesome...

Great to see a Dad getting his daughter involved in the outdoors and hunting. Thumbs up to you Grace and nice first buck. Something tells me there are others in your future.

    Congratulations,
