Sardis + Cuccinelli = 54% of the vote. The Democrats' strategy to siphon off votes worked beautifully. Now VA will be run by a tax n spend carpet bagger, which will entice even more people to move here along with all the illegals and trough-sucking govt. workers.

Explain how one runs listed as a Libertarian but not backed by the Party and if I remember seeing it correctly Ron Paul showed up at a Cuccinelli rally and stood with the candidate, so how is that not campaigning for him

"7. Robert Sarvis gave people an outlet to vent. While I think he’s not much of a libertarian or a serious person given his positions on Medicaid, taxes, and abortion clinics, I dispute the notion that Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian Party candidate, is actually a spoiler in this race. While exit polls may reflect something different, every poll thus far seems to indicate that he takes roughly equally from both candidates. But his presence gave people an outlet, and one that they didn’t have to think about too hard, as a protest vote. In Sarvis’s absence, the contrasts would be clearer between the two major party candidates. I’m still struck by the lack of knowledge of McAuliffe’s positions in the race, and that might not be the case had it been a two-man race. In that case, Sarvis delivered pretty much what the Obama bundlers who got him on the ballot wanted all along." http://thefederalist.com/2013/11/05/...cans-virginia/

Sardis switched party affiliation to Libertarian, any citizens can do that. Doesn't mean the party endorsed him or supplied any cash for his campaign. I could register as a Repub and run for office. That doesn't mean I get the Repub Party endorsement or any cash to campaign with! Again, RP was there campaigning against Sardis. Update; Sarvis money for TV commercials came for the Purple Pac. http://www.uncoveredpolitics.com/201...urging-sarvis/ According to its latest filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Purple PAC had raised $575,000 as of June 30th. Its two largest contributors were Kentucky horse breeder Richard Masson and CATO board member and options trader Jeffrey S. Yass, managing director of the Philadelphia-based Susquehanna International Group. Masson and Yass, a longtime libertarian financier, had each contributed $250,000 as of that semi-annual filing.

Sardis (I thught it was Sarvis?) got heavy support from D bundlers

Cucc was drubbed in the female vote in a state where 60% support Choice!
While Cucc is pro-life, he is not some nutcase about it. However, that was how McAuliffe's ads attempted to portray him.

In our local county election, the D won for County Executive, but fiscal conservatives continue to hold good control of the county commission overall.

Interestingly ... in the county D registration outnumbers R by 1.47 to 1. Local paper reports that 19% of voters turned out. D won 51.5% of the vote; R 48.5%. Therefore, the winner got about just under 10% of the total reg voters; the loser got about just over 9% (based on the 19% who actually voted). The D who ran was cast as a "moderate".

Please accept my condolences. I think I'm fairly middle of the road, but admittedly I lean left. That being said, I absolutely cannot stand McAullife.
