    Default How Laws Are Made

It's such a shame that in the USA, defending Liberty has become such a heroic deed.

And when lobbyists retire they get another job as an "adivsor" to a high-ranking official, or even the POTUS

Where is the Lobbyist Reform we were promised in 2007 by Obama? In my book, the only way to reform lobbying is to ban them altogether!

SCOTUS has already decided that corporations are people with certain unalienable rights.

However, Obama in 2007 promised to clean up the Lobbying industry and has done nothing about it. Possibly, they were his main source of contributions so, he just said what sounded good but really had no intentions of taking them on. I understand the ruling by SCOTUS but, it doesn't give a clear path to buying influence from Federally elected politicians. Influence buying is why the IRS Tax Code(74,000 pages) is so cumbersome, long and corrupt!

Here's another form of influence buying.

It does. If you look the citizens united ruling also, you will come to realize that there is no longer a method of controlling them either.

Explain please - don't forget to include how having a corporation contribute to a campaign is different than having a large union buy a politician.

What are you saying Franco? I thought you liked Jindal? Is there evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the appointees Or are they unqualified to sit on these various boards?

Jindal is on my short list for potential POTUS. I have always liked him, but if he's a crook then that changes.

It is not different. however I don't believe unions were giving the same personhood as corporations and can be regulated. I am not a hundred percent on that and will look it up later, but that is my understanding. Either way though money has destroyed the system.
