Default Oldest handler at a National

Interested in finding out who the oldest handler ever was to run a dog in an open or amateur national. I am 62 now and you just never know.

Are you worried about being too old to run when your dog qualifies?

There are several examples of handlers in their 70s not only competing but winning Nationals.

Lanse ran the National Amateur last year at age 74 +/_ a year....and Nora needs two points to qualify for next years Amateur....I also think Roy McFall might have qualified Jag when he was 79 or 80 but did not run

Better check with Gordon Powers. A few years ago he was the oldest handler running the youngest dog.
