Default National Open -2013- Statistics and info

Once again HUGE kudos to JK Ottman and her fabulous site Retriever Results for compiling some interesting facts and statistics for the weekly Field trial data including this year's National Open

Since it always seems people here on the RTF are asking what "stud de jour" to use I always like to look and see which studs actually have progeny qualified for the Nationals

Here is the list of sires with two or more qualified dogs.

    Eight Qualified Dogs

    NFC-AFC Clubmead's Road Warrior

    Six Qualified Dogs

and not to forget the outstanding Dam's of the game

Here is the list of dams with two or more qualified dogs.

    Most interesting stat

It's not only hard to WIN an Open, it's also tough to get the 2 extra points.

8 dogs had the points but needed the win
88 dogs had the win but needed the points

Thanks again Josie for having a great site/newsletter which is ideal for a statistics junkie/nerd like me..

Thanks to all of you for many of the ideas we use in the newsletter. we should note however that we omitted one terrific Sire, NFC Two Rivers lucky Willie. We will update the newsletter to reflect that. thanks again!

Both dogs were National Finalists last year. Not too shabby for a pair of young dogs.

I know two of the dogs sired by RSK's Smooth Sailing are Boots and Ace. Who is the third? Same litter?
