Thank you all so much for the kind words. Its so sad that they are here for such a short period in our lives. I posted this here because I knew many of you would understand my pain and sorrow. I never deserved her but Im so thankful that God blessed me with her. The majority of people will never understand a bond like this, and I have never had a bond like this one with other pups I have. I just wish this deep hurt would subside so I can look back on the memories and just be happy of the time we spent together.

Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    I am so sorry.

I truly believe that our beloved dogs will be in heaven waiting for us. Heaven is the perfect place so our dogs have to be there!

Man, I could hardly get through your post - so sorry for your loss. And you're definitely right about missing the little things. Mine was a licker - constantly - and it would be really annoying sometimes, but now I miss it like crazy. I agree with Vicky, if heaven was created with our happiness in mind, our dogs will be there...billy graham thinks so too, so that's comforting. Prayers sent your way. Take care

Our dogs are so intertwined with us that it's as if they literally are a piece of us. It's hard to say goodbye. You both had each other and it sounds like it was a wonderful relationship. The pain will pass but not the memories. Sorry for your loss.

You will see each-other again .... Hard to believe I know, but, over time you be able to smile more and tear up less remembering her. No one understands this pain like the “family” on RTF. Deeply sorry for your loss. She is beautiful.

Very moving tribute, you had a wonderful journey with Jill, cut too short, but I know you wouldn't have traded a minute of it, even knowing the pain of losing her was coming. The hurt fades with time, the memories and love never do. Godspeed, Jill, you did your job well.
