Default Been a long road ! One proud owner! Pups 1st hunt (Pics)

From a growth plate fracture at 3 months, to getting her SHR Title at 10 months, and her first hunt at 11 months, I never dreamed I could be this proud of her ! It's been a long road, and late nights wondering if she would ever over come her injury, but with a careful rehab and an excellent surgeon, and having to modify her training schedule to work around her injury, she has become more of a Hunting dog, and Family dog than I ever could ask for at only 11 months she is already a champion in my eyes. 18 birds hit the waer, and 18 was delivered to hand, with no cripples lost. She was steady to shot, and only had to handle her on 2 marks. Needless to say I am proud of her ! Thanks to everyone here for all your help with my training questions, as I am sure I will have many more as we continue our journey !

Good luck. Like the pictures. I started my BLF a little late. Right now she is 1 1/2 yrs. old. We are still in the training mode, but have planned a upland hunt in January. Cant' hardly wait.

Enjoy the journey and always stop a second, if you can, and tell your dog that.
