    Default Complete Shut Down

I had major shoulder surgery three weeks ago. My arm is in an stablization sling and I can't drive. Doctor says I must sleep in a recliner. Therapy is on schedule, but I am greatly restricted.

With four retrievers that are use to regular training and/or hunting most of the time, they are only being aired in a small, enclosed yard three/four times a day. It looks like this will be the status quo for at least another month or two....maybe three. They are doing very well in the house and don't seem to mind....so far. Is this all that bad?

Had my shoulder work on a couple of years ago, it sucks I feel your pain. Took a good 6 months to realize I made the right decision to have the surgery.

I hope you don't draw Olga the mean German physical therapist.

    Jim,

    Ouch! Been there.

I am in the fortunate position of having open fields right next to the house, so even with a sling I could cary a game bag and a few dummies. Just did a lot of long memory retrieves which also served as honouring drills. Maybe you can work something out??

    Get well soon.

Hope you have a speedy recovery!

In the meantime, milk it. Have the wife/GF give you lots of attention.
