"Massive decrease in size and scope of Federal Government. More power to the states. Massive cuts to our military and entitlements. We should have a department of defense not offense. Protection of civil liberties. Sound currency."- Mudminnow

Sounds like a recipe for 20%+ unemployment, a new recession and a very damaged currency to me.....
there's no good reason to fatten up a retriever.

Not that a vote will make any difference cuz the electoral college in most states is bought and paid for already; Register to vote and you get a jury duty summons the next week; Most consider social security a charitable contribution, that will bankrupt itself and they will never see. So solution= Don't vote; and they won't until some little issue pisses them off enough that, it might be worth it to try a system, that they know inherently doesn't work. Rather than put forth effort to change it, best course is to use what's available now as much as you can to your advantage. Most will not bother to sign-up for Obamacare, unless they can indeed get it for free (isn't a govt. sub. free? ), otherwise they'll crunch the math and pay the fine, only when they are forced to. Most will take those social programs, because hey it's available. I don't think they are disillusioned; I think they got a pretty good grip on reality; however they are erratic, emotional and live for what's flashy today, and what will best benefit me, they are individualistic and not communal driven, have no real faith in anything lasting, but as long as it's available today . Oh I forgot the ideal that, while we have no interest in solid issues, but we are very cause driven, more intelligent than most everyone and have an obligation to save the world from itself, but only if it can be done in 2-4hr. after that we get bored .
I found your post interesting in that you identify yourself as a "millennial" Yet throughout your post you refer to "they" vs. "We"....except for your last sentence...are you speaking for them or you also?

So the government creates jobs? as uncle Si would say "Nah". Every time government "creates" a job, it just adds to a bubble that will eventually burst. Government spending does not help an economy. An economy improves in spite of government spending. And our currency is already damaged with the amount of money printing going on today.

And to swamp, do tell how having troops overseas prevents terror or keeps us safe? I want to keep the troops safe, and I think that can be done most effectively if they are in America. That alone would stimulate the economy with thousands of military personel living in America, spending their money in America not Germany or japan. Non intervention is not pie in the sky

Troops overseas keeps the fight out of our yard..... you still haven't spoke on how you would like to see these goals be achieved. Where is the plan that you'd voted for???

You big government guys are amusing, you even admit the tremendous amount of pork and still claim its a necessary evil. Why do we fear how the Millennials vote when we have that kind of thinking within the Republican party, spend, spend, spend......

It all depends what the money is being spent on, weather it's a necessary evil or not. Government spending will never stop but is it being spent correctly or is it just waste that's the question that needs anwsered.

mn....just like a Liberal, when presented with the facts, you call names, and deny the obvious...generalizing that all Republicans is about as stupid as me saying that all Democrats are Socialist (Just their leaders). You have a neighbor up in your area, Governor Scott Walker, who you need to spend time reading up on....then you will understand what Conservative Republicans believe and what they can do when elected.....
