    Default Retrievers Online

I got my first issues (happily, all 4 issues from 2013). Started in on them right away and then took them on the plane with me where I picked up my new puppy. It was a 20 hour ordeal that pup handled great. Me, not so much. But I consumed the RO's all the way. They are GREAT! Wish I'd gotten a subscription years ago.

Love the reviews of Hillmann's stuff and the interviews.

You may be sure there will be puppy pic's as soon as I figure a) how to get them off my new cell phone and into the computer and b) how to put them up on the forum. Working on a) right now.

What issue(s) were the Hillmann reviews in? Is it possible to buy past, single issues?

    Thanks, Merry Christmas.

Jan/Feb/March issue has part 1 of the review, April/may/June has part 2. But there is also an interesting interview with Bill Hillmann about his "philosophy and approach to training retrievers" in the Oct/Nov/Dec issue.

While you're thinking about issues or articles to order... I thought "Analysing Tests - Before and After" in the Jan/Feb/March issues was super. I made a worksheet from it to remind me what to look for in set-ups and to keep track of what issues my dog gave in to and/or managed well. Course it's going to be months of winter before I get out with dogs to set up anything. But what better way to spend the cold and wet times than reading up on what can be accomplished when the thaw happens.
