Default How About Just Plain Old "Merry Christmas"!!

How about a plain "Merry Christmas" without the political ads or sniping?

Glad to hear that UB is progressing through his health problems and is back with us (even though I am not always with him). Good to see most seem to still be here stirring the pot and slinging stuff. My mom (who lives in a cottage behind my house due to the beginnings of cognitive problems) was in the ICU for 9 days this fall with pneumonia and we are so glad to still have her with us. Glad that my in-laws have finally (after 5yrs of trying) sold their house and moved up here to be only 2 miles from us. Glad that my brother and one of his girls got to come stay about 5 days with us last week.

There are many things that I would like to change in this world, but for tonight, I'm going to try very hard to concentrate on what I am happy about. I can still hug my mom as I tuck her in at night and I still have the love of my life by my side to be a true helpmate. My brother, his wife, and twin girls are all doing well and healthy. My in-laws are in good health. I have a few friends that I can count on.

Life is not perfect, but, for now, we are much better off than most of the rest of the folks in the world.

    So:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! from one of the resident agnostics and, at least for tonight, PEACE on Earth (or at least on this board).

Merry Christmas works well for me also. That goes for all of you, makes no difference if I do not like your political leaning at this time

I'm also very pleased with my life. Warm house when outside the ice is all over everything. Warm water for bathing etc. No carrying it from a well and heating it on a wood stove. Too much food. Good neighbors ( their kids delivered lots of goodies to us today ). He plows our driveway when the snow gets deep. Been able to help other people this year with some money for their needs and gifts. That feels very good.

    God Bless all of you.

It's such a shame that in the USA, defending Liberty has become such a heroic deed.
