Chapter 1 section 6 of the AKC HT Regs and Guidelines says in part

"Prior to Becoming Eligible to Judge the Senior/
Master Test. Individuals that have not judged Senior
or Master tests prior to January 1, 2012 must first have
judged at least twice at the testing level immediately
below before they are eligible to judge a Senior or Master
    tests. (Club’s responsibility to monitor.)"

Jackduck, you are absolutely right. Your explanation became effective on January 1, 2012, and to my knowledge has not made it into a new Regulations and Guidelines for AKC Hunting Tests for Retrievers. I think the last one was printed in November 2010.

Got that from the one I downloaded a couple of weeks ago to review before I judged Rose Country JR/SR. Amended Dec 2012.

I just looked at the AKC Webpage and found rulebooks for Retriever Field Trials and a lot of other rulebooks for other performance breeds, but not the one you referenced, jackduck. So I guess I will download the 64 pages and bind them myself. Thanks for your help.

I just clicked the link and the book came up as a .pdf file that you can "File", "save page as" some where on your computer and read it all at will. If you still have a problem email me and I will email it back. jacduck@jacducks.com

I keep a copy on my phone just in case.
