West Little Rock which is where the heart hospital is, starts on page 42 but midtown, cantrell road, hilcrest, and heights are all no more than 10-15 min drive. unless during rush hour then it might be hour or so drive

map of the districts starts on page 84. try not to venture into southwest LR

any other brochures can be found here:

my personal picks of just west LR: bbq=whole hog, steak=arthur prime's, mock-cajun (i'm sure you have the real deal)=copelands, fried everything and good all around food=krazy mike's shrimp and wings, japanese/steak=kobe, italian=ya ya's, pizza (tie)= damgoode pies/shotgun dan's/US pizza, burger=big orange

most of these are pricey except krazy mike's, pizza places, and whole hog. there is alot of good food out there for cheaper though

guess i don't understand the implication? all the neighborhoods on cantrell is where the old money is. houses that are 80 years old selling for $3-400/sq ft

theres a few bars on cantrell but mostly uptown places not the sort where you'd be ordering shots and get in a bar fight

    gooser,
the man asked for "good food", not "good for me food". the two are usually mutually exclusive.

i have found that one can ask for "blackened or grilled catfish" at most any fried fish place and be accomodated with a slightly healthier choice. slow cooked pork shoulder is not as high in fat as many are led to believe. pork is "the other white meat!"

Have been fasting on red bull and sweet tea for the last 8 hrs. I am going to go whole hog on the pulled pork just as soon as I get the all clear on surgery.

I can only conclude Dannaway is a chain guy. Odd in that his notion is likely that breakfast should be served at 1:00 pm and dinner at midnight.

I'll be headed towards your normal area Friday morning to pick up my boat from Pro Drive. If you're going to be in town, let me know. If not, best wishes for your dad. Because of my Papaw, I'm very familiar with heart surgeries.

Hopefully I will be back in LC tomorrow. Dropped a wheel on boat trailer yesterday in hackberry and have to go pit crew it back on when I get home. Call me

Whole Hog is da shiznit! Walked in 10 min before closing time and they let me sit down and eat. Mgr brings me a brownie for desert on the house along with a souvenir glass. Procedure went well but breathing is labored so they're keeping him tonight. My red bulls are wearing off and I need to find a place to land.
