Default Pics from the hunt this morning -10 wind chill

Brothers dog Skylar worked hard for us this morning. Lucky for her the action was fast and furious and we were done within the first 45 mins of shooting light. Shot some of the prettiest green wings I have ever seen.

We hunt up and down the Roanoke River, Southern Virginia and Halifax County and Northampton County NC (eastern NC). We called the band in and he was banded in Ontario

That sounds like an awesome hunt. Out here on my way to work, it was 42 degrees with a windchill factor of 42 degrees.... I wish we could get some bad weather.

    Congrats on the band.

There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace…........If one has cut, split, hauled, and piled his own good oak, and let his mind work the while, he will remember much about where the heat comes from, and with a wealth of detail denied to those who spend the weekend in town astride a radiator.
