    Default Trainers in Northern california

Are there any trainers in the Redding area of northern CA. I would like to see in person what a finished dog does. Starting to train my dog now and would like to see what finished looks like. Thanks in advance

Do yourself a favor and go to the San Jose Retriever Club filed trial at the end of the month in Corning...more specifically go to the Open stake and watch the dogs owned/trained by Don Graves,Pat Nicholls,Michael Moore,Chris Hatch...all four men are about as good an Amateur trainer and handler as there is in the country ...They all train similar but only one uses a pro...see if you can tell the difference without someone spilling the beans and telling you...I doubt you will be able to tell

There are also going to be some A list pros there too like Bill Sargenti, Eric Fangsrud, Jerry Patopea...might want to watch some of their dogs too

On January 31st, there is a field trial at Clear Creek Sports Club in Corning. The following weekend there is another trial in Anderson. Check out the open and amateur for finished dogs as there will be plenty of quality dogs to watch. If you haven't been to a trial before just ask anyone in the gallery for information on whats happening in that particular stake and they will be glad to help you out.

If you can only go for a day (yes I know how far it is from Redding to Corning) you will be able to watch the Open, the Amateur, and maybe even the Derby stake all in the same day...the same dogs in the Open and the Amateur, but strictly amateur handlers in the latter

pack a lunch, bring a chair, wear some warm clothes (NOT white in color), take some notes and go meet some good people
