Default Timber hunting along the White river, Ar.

Just curious how the timber hunting was along the White river. I was at St. Charles in middle December and the locals were getting excited because the river was rising. Just wondering how it turned out.

I will be surprised if you get any honest answers on a public forum. Public timber hunters in Arkansas give out very little information. If you know someone local give them a call.

I hunted a private duck club that borders the White River the week after Christmas. We saw a lot of birds and had several good hunts.

Sure it is just get on the local arkansas hunting forum and just ask them they will tell you nothing to see here no need to come. Seriously though I haven't been able to go so I couldn't tell ya. Some people have been killing but it is slowing a bit.

Its like any large public area. if the duck numbers are ok and you got time to scout... you can kill ducks... if you are not in a situation where you can scout a day or two for a hunt then it is hit or miss.... The white usualy keeps ducks, and i have been on some great hunts.

There are no ducks in Arkiesaw!
"Force fetch isn't about retrieving as much as it is conditioning a dog to handle pressure, in a very controlled environment. It's about putting a dog in the position of having to figure out how to turn off pressure by finding the correct response. This translates into numerous areas in training." Sharon Potter.
