    Default Shed dog training??

Hope this isn't taboo on here. Just wondering if anyone has trained to find shed antlers?

In the middle of doing it right now with my older dog. I am using the Jeremy Moore training equipment. I don't have it in front of me I think its called Dogbonez. It seems to be ok. I don't really know yet. but its something different.

We have 2 that are trained for shed hunting. Our chocolate male Chipper is qualified for the World Championships in Minn. in April. We just purchased another pup that we plan to train for sheds also. Lots of fun

All my dogs hunt sheds. The biggest problem I have is getting time to go shed hunting. It is pretty simple if your dog already has training you can teach them in a day or two.

the last2, Thanks for posting that link! It is very timely for me. Our local archery shop owner has a rescue dog that he was telling me just yesterday, he'd like to teach to find sheds. I talked to him about steps I thought he could take to get the dog to want to chase and retrieve the sheds.

Tom Dokken does a great job of explaining the stuff in the video. I wish I'd seen the video before I spoke with this local archer. I will be referring this over to him.

AmyK, that's great that your dogs are so into it. Can you share any tips or ideas on training? Where can one learn more about getting qualified for the World Shed?

    Thanks! Chris
