    Default Shedding Control

Quick Question: I have a 1 year old yellow male that seems to be a shedding machine; are there any options to help control shedding? I've seen different soaps, supplements and foods that state reduces shedding but figure itís just a sales pitch. Donít know if it matters but heís always been on a Pro Plan Sport diet.

Get a furminator for the underhair and some kind of rubber block "brush" for the guard hair.

lol. That's a good one. I think they have brushes to help reduce the shedding. They also have treatments or something like that that they offer at pet stores but I don't have any experience with it. Just go with the yellow carpet idea. May also wanna invest in some yellow clothing. Thank God you didn't buy that pink lab

    Fish oil?

I am using Welactin religiously and now that you mention it, I do not see the usual light coating of dog hair everywhere.

I think excessive shedding is a sign that something is not right with the dog. Otherwise try fish oil!

Someone extolled the virtues of coconut oil to reduce shedding. Missing Link also seems to be effective.

The best skin and coat supplement I have found is Animal Naturals K9 Show Stopper. This is a multi use supplement for great health and an amazing coat.
K9 Power Products is the largest distributor and has the best prices. Check them out.

I have a yellow male also. Furminator everyday and buy a Roomba for the house! Best thing that I have found to work for me.
