Everyone always quotes Wikipedia. The Open Society Institute is one of their main contributors and George Soros basically bank rolls this political group. So, I personally, don't be everything they put out. Just because something is written in the paper or on the net you are taking it as gospel?

Alinsky was a very intelligent person. This is the reason way his mythology of community organizing was so successful and is a key strategy of the democrat party today. Also, it is the main reason the current leaders of the republican cannot grow a pair and successfully address these tactics.

This is why wouldn't the Tea Party organizations use their own tactics? "Fighting fire with fire". It is common knowledge they have and will continue to use his book and why the Republican Party is so concerned about this group. They where pretty good students in 2010.

How is the Wikipedia quote inaccurate? " I don't like the source of funding" and "I personally, don't be(lieve) everything they put out" are not adequate rebuttals of the quote.

    Speaking of Saul Alinsky

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky
Saul David Alinsky (January 30, 1909 - June 12, 1972) was an American community organizer and writer. He is generally considered to be the founder of modern community organizing. He is often noted for his book Rules for Radicals.

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.
The first is the most important.
    1) Healthcare “Control healthcare and you control the people
    2) Poverty “Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
    3) Debt “Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
    4) Gun Control “Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a
    police state.
    5) Welfare “Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)
    6) Education “Take control of what people read and listen to “take control of what children learn in school.
    7) Religion “Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools
    8) Class Warfare “Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Snopes may be right this time and if so I stand corrected that it didn't come from Alinsky.

Just because it didn't come from him doesn't mean some of it isn't true.

Or, it is possible that this was made up by some right wingers and spread around because they were following Alinsky's rules for radicals just as they were trained (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34751.html).

Sure. Anything is possible. But that still doesn't mean some of it isn't true. Perhaps you can help me out and tell me what country is socialistic and has the belief in God present in their government and the their schools. I am having a hard time coming up with one.
