Default Hot from the representatives mouth TRitronics

My pointing dog trainer is at the www.greatamericanoutdoorshow.org formerly know as the Eastern Outdoors show, in Harrisburg , Pa . I sent him to the
Tritronics /Garmin booth to ask about the future of the pro models and to bitch about the Delta not having interchangeable contacts.

The answer he got was, they will be coming out with a Pro 550, which will replace the 100 and the 200 ( 100 and 200 will be discontinued) and will be very similar to the existing Pro 500. She told him they will still be tubular, from what she understands. Now,obviously, until they release it we won't know and this is just what was relayed to me from the person manning the Tritronics /Garmin booth at one of the largest Sportsman shows in the country.

The answer on the Deltas was she agrees and has being complaining about it since she tested the prototypes. I suggest that if you have a Delta and don't like the short contacts , let them know...

That was my thought to Sharon , but the availability of parts and repair in the future bothers me ( and lack of not being able to match transmitter to replacement collars) I love my 100's!
I am happy there will be a 550 though , but unhappy that I have to remember to make sure I am on the continuous setting....the other big question will be if the 550 will be digital.
I would think there would ONLY be a Pro 550 with no 500

Sharon I have a 200 G2. Love it. Started with a Flyway. ?, Why do you prefer the 100. And I to will be adding a new/old unit before they dissappear.

Done with TT anyway, but for those of you with old units you love, most things can be repaired if you know a geek or two. My husband fixed my Pro 500 transmitter for $2 plus $7 for shipping the little part from Mauser, (electronics supply house). Most everything inside them can be ordered on line, they are not proprietary. So go ahead and stock up on the old stuff if you like it!

I am not Sharon , but I prefer the 100 over the 200 because I can control the length of the correction. It can be a quick bump or it can be a lot longer there for hotter. You have more flexibility with the 100.

What Bridget said. I need all the levels of continuous, and can make my own momentary if needed...or just use the six levels of momentary available. It's got everything I need and nothing I don't.
