Default The TEA Party of Texas has made it personal

it was bad enough that the TEA Party of Nevada cost the Republicans the best chance they had of beating Harry Reid by running a certified whacko candiddate in Angle

but now the TEA Party in Texas is taking on my long time family friend who is a six term state senator in District 64,Myra Crownover(R)...she has been voted by her peers as the most conservative legislator in the state Senate...

But the TEA Party candidate is trying to portray her as.....a LIBERAL

Myra is the president of a bank and CEO of an independent oil drilling company, her late husband Ronny was my brother's best friend and classmate at A&M...she is as close to family as it gets since I lived on their small ranchette when I lived outside of Dallas...Our dogs Judge, Rex, and my dog Straw are all buried on her family property in Denton

So I will now campaign against every TEA party candidate including Ted Cruz, and yes even Rand Paul should he choose to run under their banner, your group has gone too far...like Lainee says "its on like Donkey kong"

I hate to say it, but now you may be able to appreciate mine and Henry's comments when we've expressed our belief that the Tea Party is the gift that just keeps on giving...

I firmly believe that without the Tea Party, Republicans would currently control both houses of congress. Believe it or not, if you knew me in real life, you'd know that I'm much more moderate than I seem on RTF. When I lived in Ohio I used to vote for lots of Republicans and actually went door to door in support of one in a primary race. Bush, and then the Tea Party pushed me further to the left...

Buzz : I always knew you were somewhat of a moderate, but compared to many of us you "appear" to be "wide left"...I was so disgusted when a Texas friend of mine sent me the info about the TEA party running a candidate against her (which I have no problem). She has gone unopposed so many other times because she come from a very conservative part of north Texas, but to try and paint her as a Lib, puhleeze

Myra is the pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, anti-tax, free enterprise, conservative in the race."

How do you get a Liberal out of that

So Yes I see your point and maybe it will change my outlook on things...

I am pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, anti-tax, free enterprise, conservative, and I get called a liberal on this forum about twice a week, most of the time by the tea bagger or occupy wall street types.

    Bon...
I do not know your candidate or anything about your claims regarding the Tea Party Candidate. But I am naturally concerned about your bias when you mention " long time family friend"... I also am naturally suspicious about all longer-term republicans in the Senate, their record under McConnell and McCain is poor, from a conservative point of view.

Regardless, if she is truly conservative she will have no trouble getting re-elected. It is the challenge by other conservatives candidates that will make her strong. And she will need it because the Democrats will attack her from all sides with as many lies as they can dream up, if she really is Conservative!

As for Nevada and 'Dingy' Harry Reid....the Tea Party candidate did not help Harry, is ownership of the unions and minorities (not all legals) tipped the scales in that election! Don't listen to the mainstream media on this stuff, do your own research, remember they all are trying to tear us apart!

Swamp : I admire your stuff here on POTUS as much as anyone but the Tea Party messed up the election here in Nevada, I know first hand because I was stuffing envelopes and making calls..we had two Conservative candidates in Lowden and Tarkanian, but the TEA Party went for the big kill when a moderate republican wins by double digits. Angle was so unqualified it was laughable, she won the primary with less than 40% of the R vote...The Tea Party here didnt back Mitt either, not that it would have made a difference

I am biased , I dont hide that fact...but she is about as conservative as it gets and gher voting record shows that, but this seems to be the MO of the Tea Party by trying to get to the right of the incumbent and portray them as not conservative and liberal...

Myra will retain her seat, and if she is unseated her constituents will feel the loss..She certainly isnt in it for the money. She is independently wealthy, her sorority sisters at SMU were the daughters of H.L. Hunt...she once dated the Texas Tech- Green Bay Packer Donnie Anderson

When Ronny was alive he went and ran a FT with our dog Rex up in the NW, instead of renting a car he bought a second hand car to drive there and donated it to the host club to do with as they pleased. He was that kind of guy...He was a heck of a legislator in his own right along with being a practicing DVM...we lost him to leukemia in 2000, and thats when Myra ran for his seat in the Senate

Heck I might even use my vacation to go and work the campaign, thats how fired up I am

So, who will be the next Governor of Texas, Abbott or Davis? Looks like Abbott is running a dirty campaign that could work in Davis' favor.

I would also point out that Swamp seemed to be talking about the US Senate whereas you were clearly talking of the Texas Senate.

Franco just to show you I am not the close minded NEOCON, I went to a young lady model friend of mine home the other night to listen to her roommates band practice, and lo and behold he is one of the leaders of the southern NV Libertarian party...We talked for about an hour after practice, I even agreed to attend one of their meetings, he dislikes the current admin more than I do, so we got along great

Very good! Won't be too long is the distant future where it will be the Socialist Party vs the Libertarian Party.
