Thread: Has anyone had a female come in heat 3 months after last cycle?

    Went to vet today and sent stuff off for more tests. So far its looking good. Did a ultrasound and no pups.
    Kinda of a wierd deal. Got her on some antibiotics for now

    Didn't even think of an accidental pregnancy (yikes!) but I was wondering about a cystic ovary or such. I have no idea if something like that would show on U/S or not. Hopefully all will turn out okay for you. Anne

    When my dog started to have cycles close like that we had her fixed and found cystic (SP?) ovaries.

    I had my dachshund fixed because of this. She was coming into heat every 3 months. Split heats the vet called it. Ended up spaying her just over a year old because I couldn't handle the constant mess.

    Happened to me too, with her 1st and 2nd cycles. since then been normal every 6 mos like clockwork. Until this time when I was planning a breeding and spent a bunch of money on testing , Now shes a week late and I'm trippin ! Go figure

    Update. Had all her blood work done ane urine tests done and yearly stuff. Put her on antibotics after vet appointment. All seems good and now she is humping my male and driving him crazy.. At least after her bleeding out the nose epesode, the white blood cells are back to normall
