    Hmmm.....Darrin, do you plan to keep this one for your personal dog? My experience has been that most Chessies don't transfer allegiance easily. (That is, as long as they like the original person in the first place. If not they'll drop you like last weeks one night stand!)

    Anybody can train a black dog! Now this is a very true statement. I started in Chesapeakes and then got a Lab and was it ever so easy. After saying that I still like my Chesapeake and have two now coming on.

    Everyone needs to experience working with Peakes,Flatcoates,Goldens ,not just talking a couple either.Then and only then should you progress to a lab.Dad had that plan for me as I had it for my son!!!!It works. Jim
