Try to get one of those medical Igloo Coolers. They are great for icing. Lid has a water pump built in and a hose attaches leading to baffle held onto your body part with a neoprean wetsuit like closure that keeps the cold in. Fill cooler with ice and water, strap it on and chill for a few hours. Great stuff.
Cant recall makers name.

Yes, I had one of them with my second surgery. It was awesome!
I had mine scoped and was in waders hunting a few weeks later.
Thanks for all the replies.Jim

Mine was an ACL repair, not meniscus, but I had a complete recovery. Best advice is to follow the doctor's instructions exactly and do your physical therapy exactly as directed. If you're like most, it should be good Spend some of your post surgical time googling meniscus repairs and call your doc's office with lots of questions, LOL. There are on-line forums for knee problems where there are lots of people in the same boat to commiserate with. Good luck

I just found out tueday that I also have a meniscus tear...however, they are sending me for Physical Therapy instead...I don't understand that unless it is an insurance thing??? They told me it will NOT heal itself! Ortho said if it is not better with cortisone/PT then they will do surgery...Why not just do the surgery now?
