NAHRA, bar none the best overall venue in a retriever hunting dog program (IMO), AKC hunt tests, field trial dabbling at the present and hopefully this summer some HRC. I guess I too need the ALL button. Sorry I have no hobbies that dont include my dogs, but with grandchildren that have arrived that may have to change!

It's about the people- the dogs are just the common attraction.

The beer is better in AKC regards

I don't like the concept of dog A stepping on all the marks, lining or 1 whistling the blinds and that dog gets the same ribbon as dog B who handled to a mark, looked sloppy on a couple others and barely picked up the bilnd but did enough to pass.
I too started in AKC HT's, but have migrated to Field Trials for the same reasons mentioned above. I try to train to the highest standard possible and FT's reward the dog/handler teams that outperform all others on that given day. Not nearly as many ribbons in FT's, but I much prefer the assortment of colors on my previously orange covered wall.
