In a 90-0 vote his parliament gave him the green flag. Ukraine will now be officially a part of Russia. It is just a matter of time.

I don't think we should be involved in this dispute but the Cold War is starting to warm back up.

And, according to the present administration's proposals for the military, Putin (and others) just have to wait a few years until the US military reductions take place.

Did those few words about flexibility carry more import than we thought? Did those words allow Putin to take a measure of the man he would be pitted against, and embolden him?

Compare Russia's military spending to the US and you will see how silly that statement is, unless you believe we are going to cut our spending by 80%.

I really try not to be "silly". Maybe Russia uses its budget more effectively than the US does?

If I were Putin, I'd consider it good news that the US plans on cutting its military budget, and simultaneously hints that it will direct some of that reduced budget to Syria, rather than toward Russian overreach.

Do you honesty believe what you wrote, Russia spends a fraction of what we spend, if you honestly believe we waste that much, then it just affirms the need for a military spending cut.

Hey mngundog quite using logic. It is not accepted here on POTUS

For example try to mimic Gerry by repeatedly giving us links to her spin doctors

Or you could emulate Marvin by informing us that he's an engineer who once worked in a mine and for Boeing. Thus giving him the expertise to be better informed than anyone on all subjects. That impeccable resume allows him to exert intellectual dominion over everyone. His self annointed lofty status allows him to win arguments by simply using insults. No need for facts if you repeatedly assured us that you are the smartest man in EVERY room
