    Default Double Header Winners question

Ammo won a double header last weekend and I see that Ted Shih has a double winner listed in his sig line. I understand that it is an incredible feat and I am wondering how often this occurs.

As per Retriever Results: 2013 had 4 double header winners, 3 different dogs. 2012 had 6. 2011 had 6. 2010 had 2. Free subscription to Retriever Results lots of interesting info on there.

Chris Hatch and Saber have at least one this year.....

lets put it this way...to the best of my knowledge the all time career leader is Judy Aycock and I lost count at 12....Roy McFall had 10...Mike Flannery and Corky had 7, Ray Goodrich and Rascal had 5...and Lanse has at least 4

pretty darn exclusive club...doesnt happen often

Is the DBL Header designation a dog thing or a dog handler thing? I see that the link to the News lists the dogs and the owners rather than the handlers?

Bon, I believe that was 2013... and he may have had TWO. Don't believe Saber has one yet this year, though they are just getting going....

In my opinion it is harder to get a double header, then being a National finalist. Had a National Open finalist, in the weekend trials we were close, JAM or place in a Open win a Amateur, but, never got the two wins in a weekend trial. It is very difficult to keep a dog together for three days. The Double Header Club is very exclusive and should carry much weight in the performance of dog and handler.

Rare to do it at all, much less be a repeat like Chris Hatch with Saber in 2013

    2013 - 4x, 3 dog/handler teams

    2012 - 6x, 6 teams
    2011 - 6x, 6 teams
    2010 - 2x, 2 teams
    2009 - 5x, 5 teams
    2008 - 4x, 4 teams
    2007 - 6x, 6 teams
    2006 - 8x, 8 teams
    2005 - 9x, 9 teams
    2004 - 9x, 9 teams
    2003 - 9x, 9 teams
    2002, 5x, 5 teams
    2001, 5x, 5 teams

Maybe Ed, Earl,Bon, or Josie know the answer to this one... (I don't)

Which dog/handler combo owns the record for most all time Double Headers?
