    Default Teaching Hold

Need some help with this, my pup is acting like I'm beating her. Not sure if she is overly sensitive or what but she's not liking it one bit. She just shuts down after I try a couple of times and will stop all training. She's almost 4 months old and I'm following the Hillmann program pretty good. She's now doing doubles but haven't worked on water yet due to the cold weather here in North Texas. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciative.

Not right now. Heck I'd rather stop for now and go back to it. Just got her to do doubles this weekend.

She seems rather young to be teaching "hold." Perhaps you are moving too fast.

Wasn't sure. Hillmann is doing it on the video and I was really easy with her. She just shut down and I stopped. I'll lay off for a while.

    Thanks for the replies.

He doesn't do hold till the pup is more like 5 months old, as I recall.

I loaned out my video so I can't check.
